Partner with Bread of the Mighty
Serving Alachua, Levy, Gilchrist, and Union Counties
At Bread of the Mighty, we work with food pantries and feeding programs in Alachua, Levy, Gilchrist, and Union counties to ensure that those in need have access to nutritious food. Our partners are vital to our mission, and we maintain strict standards to ensure food safety, proper storage, and effective distribution.
Our partners
We partner with 501c3 non-profits and religious organizations who operate food pantries, soup kitchens, and kids and senior programs. New locations are determined based on areas with the greatest need as determined by Feeding America and the U.S. Census. We consider additional partner agencies based on poverty statistics to avoid duplication of services in an area.
Our Application Process
Organizations interested in becoming a partner must complete our New Agency Application and submit the following supplemental documents:
New Agency Application (completed online, here)
Provide a current Food Handler’s certificate from your feeding program representative. (If you do not have one, you can take the class and receive the certificate online here. The class is $10 and takes approximately 2 hours to complete online.)
Provide a copy of your Federal 501(c)3 Designation Letter from the IRS. (For religious organizations without a 501(c)3, please reach out to agency@breadofthemighty.org for the required exemption form.)
Provide proof of pest control services at the location where you will store food within the past month.
Once your application has been submitted, our team will review the application and determine if there is a current need for additional food assistance in your area. If that determination is made, we will reach out to schedule an initial site visit of your facility. After the completion of the site visit we will provide a copy of our agency agreement for your review and schedule your new agency training.
